Makers Mark
This is a 17th century woman's coif.
Or to be precise, half of a 17th century coif.

The pattern comes from an extant piece in the Victoria and Albert
Museum, London.

The original is embroidered in polychrome silks, with gold metallic
threads.

This one is embroidered in naturally dyed pure wool crewel threads, and
copper coloured metallic threads (the latter containing 2% silver).

The ground of the original, and this version are both pure linen.

I should probably add that the embroidery is all done by hand.
