Two black 'Tudor bonnets' based on a pattern in Janet Arnold's 'Patterns of Fashion'.

The hat on the left is in black wool, and the one on the right is black velvet.
Based on a customer's own design, this is a
black leather jerkin, lined in black linen, and with
black linen trim to the tabs at the waist and
armhole line.

The tabs are individually lined.

The jerkin is fastened with hand cast pewter
buttons, and button loops in linen.
Another black leather jerkin, made to the same customer's
design as the above doublet.

This version has shoulder wings and a solid skirt, rather than
tabs, and is lightly padded (the crossed stitching lines that can
be seen in the picture are the quilting).

The jerkin is fully lined, and is edged in black leather.

This one fastens by means of a black leather tie, which passes
through leather loops attached to the doublet.
