| The Norman standard of Conquest (the Anglo Norman living history society). This flag is made in pure handwoven silk. Both sides have the details cut from silk, and applied using back stitch (in fact every stitch in the standard is back stitch, as it is the strongest of all the hand stitches). This flag is completely hand sewn, and took me well over 100 hours to make. |
