An early fifteenth century surcote coat in the colours of Owain Glyndwr
(1349-1416), Prince of Wales, quartered yellow and red, (Or and Gules), with
an embroidered lion rampant in each quarter.

The surcote is made from linen and is fully lined in linen.

It is dagged at the hem, and, as it is designed to be worn over early 15th century
armour, fastens at each side by means of points.

The 8 Lions Rampant are machine embroidered directly onto the surcote.
