Maker's mark
A later Victorian corset, made in cotton,
with a yellow cotton muslin outer.

It is boned with spiral steels, and has an
opening steel busk at the front.  The back
laces.  As with all my corsetry, the lacing
holes are hand sewn eyelets over a
(hidden) metal ring.

The top edge is bound in green silk, with a
narrow cream lace trim, and the bottom
edge bound in cream silk.

Please bear in mind in the photos below that it is
bigger than the dummy it's on for photographing!
The petticoat is made in calico, and fastens by means of
tapes.

It has a slight tournure (the ruffles at the top), which are to
aid in supporting the skirt to be worn over it.

The petticoat is trimmed lower down with a strip of the
same silk used on the corset binding, with a ruffle of the
yellow muslin used on the corset outer, and with cream
lace.
